JetBlue Lavatory Taken Out of Service After Passenger Used Sink as Toilet

A lavatory aboard a JetBlue flight was taken out of service after a passenger reportedly used the sink instead of the toilet, causing the drain to become blocked.

The flight crew reported the incident to the airline via the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS). According to the message, the sink was clogged, the forward lavatory was unavailable for use, and the report stated that the incident had actually occurred.

As the blocked drain could not be cleared during the flight, the affected lavatory remained out of service until it could be inspected by maintenance personnel after landing.
